Life of Pi Section one.

Well, all i have to say is that this part of the book is quite confusing! I caught myself reading something, then reading it again to make sure i understood correctly. This section of the book just seems to be rambling on about everything. I really hope the rest of the book isn't like this, cause i will most definitely will not enjoy it at all. The fact that he practiced Christianity, Hinduism, and Muslim, was quite strange to me. I'm not quite sure how they all ''relate'' persay. But that is just my thought and opinion on it.. I don't think it makes sense to practice all of them at once. Then the jumping back and forth between topics honestly annoyed me. hah. Thats the only way i know how to describe my feelings toward this part.

The Color of Water... Ending

   (late again, yes i know..)
I was glad to read that she seemed to escape from all her problems, and live the way she wanted after leaving her family. She lived a hard life, starting from growing up in a rough family, losing her husband and raising 12 children. She was a strong person, thats for sure. Yet, i believe that going through hard times is what makes someone a stronger person. Then you have James, and he is just realizing some things about himself now that his mother has opened up to him. It's a good thing for him to finally understand everything.

The Color of Water 9-16

Well, these few chapters really show how bad life can treat some people. His mother really had a hard life, but yet she kept fighting. With both of her husbands dying, she just focuses then on her children and helping them through. I seem to find this book, not interesting, just sad! When reading he stories from his mother, her emotion really comes out. She grew up in a really though family, like I can't even imagine living in those conditions. Then again, I think that her growing up like that is what kept her going, made her a stronger person.
